When a new luxury resort in the Maldives approached us, their vision was clear: to create a brand identity that resonated with ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) travelers. Nestled in the pristine Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this was more than a destination – a sanctuary defined by iconic architecture, modern and playful interior styling, and offering a unique duality of experience.
We immersed ourselves in the world of luxury travel, uncovering what made this resort truly distinct. Central to its identity was the notion of living in the present, and crafting moments of duality, principles reflected in the resort’s design and guest experience. We conceptualized the brand name .Here, with a distinctive full stop preceding it, symbolizing the pause before the start of an extraordinary journey, the name itself an invitation to live fully in the now. This led us to the simple power of our tagline: ‘Embrace the Now’.
To bring this vision to life, we developed a refined brandmark featuring bespoke letterforms, and a striking visual style with fragments of photographs forming its non-traditional color palette. This was complemented by a minimalist primary color palette of white, grey, and black, and secondary hues inspired by Maldivian corals. Photography was pivotal: candid, joyful human moments and evocative natural imagery were subtly altered with an analogue, filmic quality to evoke an emotional, timeless aesthetic.
The website we designed emphasized this quality, blending breathtaking architectural visuals with rich textures, moods, and moments. Now, .Here is ready to embark on an unforgettable journey, with a brand identity and website as remarkable as the experiences they promise.
