World Urban Forum

Organised and convened by UN-Habitat, the World Urban Forum has become the foremost international gathering for exchanging views and experiences on all aspects of sustainable urbanisation. The inclusive nature of the Forum, combined with high-level participation, makes it a unique United Nations conference and the premier international gathering on urban issues.

The Tenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF 10) was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This was the first time that an Arab country hosted the world’s most important conference on cities and human settlements. The theme of the session was Cities of Opportunities: Connecting Culture and Innovation.

All About Brands were commissioned to create the identity for the Forum. The idea behind the WUF 10 brandmark is to show the progress Abu Dhabi city has made over the years. The brandmark shows different sides of the city both traditional and modern. Today Abu Dhabi is a modern city, with a rich culture and heritage and unique natural environment.

The WUF 10 logotype is friendly, welcoming, simple and modern. Comprehensive brand guidelines showed how the brand was to be implemented and also demonstrated how the elements of the logo could be deconstructed to create a series of simple illustrations to add variety and flexibility across hundreds of applications.
